Helping people to resolve conflict
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) includes a number of processes that can assist people to resolve conflict (whakatau papā) and achieve new life, growth, strength and peace as symbolised by the Koru.
Conflict occurs and disputes arise in many facets of everyday life and ADR is the ‘go to’ process that usually enables people to resolve these problems, without the need for lawyers or Courts.
We live in a world of conflict, whether it is as an employee or employer, a family member, a neighbour, a landlord or tenant, a consumer or a service provider, ADR can help.
Sometimes an advocate can help with employment, family or commercial disputes. Other times a mediator might be required to assist in a problem-solving environment for neighbourly, elderly, tenancy or other types of conflict. Then again, some people just need help with negotiation to resolve a consumer dispute or a government department.
