Client Portal Terms.

  1. Consistency: This policy is to be read in conjunction with the Website Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Terms of Engagement. The definitions adopted in the Website Terms of Use policy apply to this policy. This policy applies to anyone interacting with our Client Portal. Changes to this policy will be posted on our Website.
  2. Access/use of Client Portal:
    (a) The Client Portal is a secure platform for exchanging information and documents, generating documents through intelligent workflows, and providing legal advice. Only clients who set up an account with genuine information can use the Client Portal.
    (b) Access to the Client Portal is available while we provide you legal services. You can still request your information according to the Terms of Engagement and Privacy Act after access ends.
    (c)The Client Portal is accessed via the internet using a standard browser. No additional software is required.
    (d) You agree to use the Client Portal in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.
    (e) We grant You a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Client Portal.
    (f) You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your login credentials.
    (g) You may not:
         (i) Use the Client Portal for any unlawful purpose.
         (ii) Interfere with the security or operation of the Client Portal.
         (iii)Allow unauthorized third parties to access the Client Portal.
         (iv) Copy, reverse engineer, scrape, hack, or otherwise misuse the Client Portal.
  3. Fees: There are no additional fees for using the Client Portal.
  4. Immediate Notification: Inform us immediately if you suspect your email or phone number is compromised, or if your Client Portal credentials are disclosed to another person.
  5. Availability: We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Client Portal available, but it may be unavailable during routine maintenance.
  6. Data Security/Retention: We maintain robust security measures to protect your information, held in accordance with legal and ethical obligations. We will keep your information confidential, disclosing it only with your permission, to our staff and advisors, to service providers assisting with our operations, or as required by law. Our Privacy Policy also applies.
  7. Ownership: We retain all rights to the Client Portal. You have no proprietary rights or licenses to the Client Portal under these terms.
  8. Suspension and Termination: We may suspend, disable, or terminate your access immediately for security reasons, legal compliance, account misuse, or breaches of these terms, or because your matter with us is completed, terminates or otherwise comes to an end.
  9. Indemnity: You agree to indemnify Us against any liabilities arising from Your use of the Client Portal. Our liability to You is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events outside Our control.
  10. General Provisions:
    (a) If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains in effect.
    (b) These Terms do not create any partnership, agency, or joint venture between You and Us.
    (c) Failure to enforce any right does not waive it.
    (d) You cannot transfer Your rights under these Terms without Our consent.
    (e) These Terms are governed by New Zealand law and any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts.
    (f) These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Us and You regarding the Client Portal.
